Patrick Swayze's Widow Reenacts Familiar 'Dirty Dancing' Scene along with his Wax Statue
Patrick Swayze died on Sept. 14, 2009, carrying out a extended fight with pancreatic cancer, but his memory just like a Hollywood icon isn't forgotten. Not only are remakes of legendary Swayze films like 'Point Break' and 'Dirty Dancing' inside the works (fingers joined for 'Ghost' too), but a completely new wax statue in the star was revealed now at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood, immortalizing among Swayze's most well-known onscreen moments: his 'Dirty Dancing' log walk. Swayze's wife Lisa Niemi was open to debut the statue Wednesday evening, and -- in the somewhat surprising twist -- even struck a pose opposite the wax figure, a la Jennifer Grey inside the hit 1987 film. "It increased being apparent in my opinion that a person had put plenty of love into this, for just about any guy I loved so greatly," Niemi mentioned in the statue, which she thought taken her late husband's "confident but mischievous look." Niemi especially loved the means by which Swayze was posed, balancing round the famous 'Dirty Dancing' log. "Come and be courageous with me at night,In . she mentioned from the products her late husband might be thinking. "Go on the limb. Just trust. Don't look lower. Have a risk in whatever you do." Kenny Ortega, who's pointing the remake of 'Dirty Dancing' appeared to trouble the unveiling. Have a look in a gallery of stills in case below.
