Michael Fassbender 'Open' To 'RoboCop'
When Brazilian director José Padilha was requested who he desired to play Officer Alex J. Murphy in the approaching reboot from the "RoboCop" franchise, he spoke freely he wished to cast among Hollywood's most-wanted stars, Michael Fassbender. During the time of the job interview, nobody had contacted Fassbender concerning the role, and news soon spread over the internet concerning the director of "Elite Squad: The Enemy Within," which just hit theaters, and the intentions for that reboot. Collider got the opportunity to sit lower with Fassbender and discuss his two approaching films, "A Harmful Method" and "Shame," and throughout the job interview they discussed Padilha's option for RoboCop and just how Fassbender would experience the role. Fassbender still hadn't spoken with Padilha or seen a script but stated he'd have an interest nevertheless. "You realize, I am always open. I'll have a look in the script and sit lower using the director and also have a conversation," he stated. "It isn't certainly like, 'Oh, There is to experience RoboCop before I retire.'" He told Collider that that is not how he selects his roles, choosing to consider them more about a situation-by-situation basis. "I do not have that about anything. I dont go, 'I need to take part in the Dane eventually, or Hamlet.' I dont think like this,Inch Fassbender stated. "I simply wait and find out what pops up, and Im always available to it. Basically respond to the script, then Im up for anything." He's even up for putting on an enormous metal helmet for almost all a movie, that is most probably what RoboCop would entail. "It may be type of fun," he stated. "It may be type of good to possess a helmet which i could hide behind, for the majority of the film, too. That sounds type of appealing."
